HwC Interview with Goldberg:

Cole: Who do you believe is your biggest challenge?

Goldberg: My biggest challenge here in HwC? It would probably have to be Shawn Michaels. He’s a legend of his time, and he was the first wrestler to be crowned with an HwC title, defeating Jeff Hardy in a Ladder Match for the Cruiserweight championship.

Cole: The least challenging?

Goldberg: The least challenging probably would have been Eugene. Why do you think he left? My friend John Heidenreich took care of him for good.

Cole: What Championship do you wish to capture first?

Goldberg: The championship I really want to win is the World Championship. I mean, it’s every wrestler’s dream to become a World Champion. The United States Championship also fits me pretty well. I held it in WCW, and I’ll hold it here in HwC. AJ, you better watch out. I’m comin’ for your belt.

Cole: How did you feel after you lost your match to Bret Hart last week?

Goldberg: Don’t even get me started. You don’t know how pissed off I was when he got to that tazor. Although I fought a good fight, it wasn’t my best, and I paid for it.

Cole: Have you ever considered forming a stable/tag team with anyone here in HwC?

Goldberg: Well, at one point I tried to see if AJ wanted to team up, but he turned down my offer. Now, him and his US belt are both NEXT!

Cole: If you could have anyone in the history of Wrestling Entertainment, who would you choose to be your manager?

Goldberg: Vince Russo would be a good manager. I mean, he knows how to run things, he can make good decisions, and he’s a fighter. I mean, anyone from New York is going to be a fighter, but this guy is straight up tough. I respect the man.

Cole: Do you think that you will win the Royal Rumble?

Goldberg: Yes, Cole, I will win the Royal Rumble. I’m a monster. Anyone who gets in my path is crushed by my power. I mean, look at my WCW winning streak. It was ended only by an illegal use of a tazor. There is no way I’m going to lose this Royal Rumble match.

Cole: What do you think about the hardcore championship?

Goldberg: The hardcore title seems like a good title to hold. I mean it’s for the true all around wrestlers. You have to be ready to withstand anything. I think I might like to go for that someday.

Cole: Do you think Shawn Michaels deserves his Cruiserweight Championship?

Goldberg: Yeah, I think he does. He’s a good man, and a great wrestler, and he got that belt by himself because he’s still got the gold that makes him a good wrestler.

Cole: My last question for you, Goldberg, is this. Do you think that you’re career in HwC will ever surpass your WCW career in the late nineties, during your astounding winning streak?

Goldberg: Well, Michael, although I do believe me career here with HwC will be one of an amazing stature, I don’t think it will ever amount to my winning streak in WCW. It’s just not easy to get a streak going like that and not have it slip up at least once, whether it be by cheating or DQ, you just never know.
