:The pyro bursts from the HwC Stage for the first Pay Per View in a long time as the crowd goes crazy. Signs are being waved about and chants are droning throughout the arena as the camera pans down to the announcers.:

Jim Ross:
Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to H.w.C. Backlash 2005! This is the first pay per view we’ve had in a long time, and I’m looking forward to it!

The King:
I am too, J.R. I’ve been looking to see Triple H pound the crap out of Shawn Michaels ALL month!

Jim Ross: Yeah, well we’ll just see about that once the night’s over. The tension between those two has been nothing less than phenomenal. And speaking of phenomenal, there are five wrestlers competing twice tonight! Nothing can ruin this exciting night!

The King:
Now, J.R., Don’t jynx it! Let’s just get on with the venue!

:Leather Strap Match: AJ Styles vs. John Cena:

SUMMARY:

A Leather strap match couldn’t be better represented in this match. AJ and Cena, two promising young competitors, poured their souls out into the ring until they had nothing left. Tossing each other left and right, choking one another, and some of the most amazing acrobatics ever witnessed while being strapped to each other. Sadly, after twenty-five minutes of bloody mayhem, neither was able to complete, and suffered a double count-out.

Winner: No Contest

:Arm Wrestling Match: Vince Russo vs. Eric Bischoff:

SUMMARY:

What was supposed to be an event of fun and games ended in tradgedy….but it was still pretty funny to see. Bischoff came down to the ring, taunting and grunting like Hulk Hogan. Then the mood got serious as Russo came down to the ring with Sting and Goldust. The crowd booed at this site. Sting and Goldust stood right behind Russo the whole time, like bodyguards, even during the competition. With their arms rested against the table, Russo and Bischoff fought for a good…..twenty seconds. Bischoff slammed Russo’s arm. Eric turned, laughed, and taunted in a joking manner, only to be attacked by Goldust, Sting, and Russo while his back was turned. Although a stupid and ridiculous way to act, it was still funny to see Bischoff getting beat up.

Winner: Eric Bischoff

:European Title Elimination Chamber: AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Bret Hart vs. Triple H vs. Randy Orton vs. JBL vs. Rey Mysterio:

SUMMARY:

The match started with three men in the ring, as there is one more person than a normal Elimination Chamber match. Those three men were AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, and Jeff Hardy. The three men demolished each other to a pulp in only five minutes, but nobody was eliminated before Bret Hart came into the ring. He quickly got a helpless Rey Mysterio in a Sharpshooter and made him submit in a short time. Jeff and AJ then ambushed Bret, but he overpowered them and managed to piledrive both of them, but could only pin and eliminate AJ before Triple H was allowed into the ring, and he cleaned house. He demolished the Hitman and Jeff Hardy, and pinned Jeff quickly. HHH and the Hitman then duked it out for the rest of the five minutes before JB Layfield was allowed into the ring. There was a 3-way melee for a full five minutes before Randy Orton, the last man, came out. There was a four way brawl before HHH and JBL found themselves fighting on top of one of the chambers. While they were trading blows, Orton RKO'd Bret Hart and pinned him. Orton then climbed the chamber and attempted to get into the fray. HHH soon pushed both of them off of the chamber and managed to gather up enough courage to leap off the top of it, splashing the both of them and pinning both of them at the same time for the three.

Winner: Triple H

:International Championship Match: Ultimate Warrior (c) vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin:

SUMMARY:

This was a match definitely worthy of being for a title as prestigious as the International Championship. It seemed at first that the Warrior would have no problem defending the belt against the Texas Rattlesnake, but Stone Cold would soon prove him wrong. Warrior held his own for a good part of the match, giving Austin what for, until Austin retaliated with a Stone Cold Stunner out of nowhere, and both men were down. Austin got up first, slowly followed by the Warrior, who tried to throw a punch, but was blocked and met with another Stunner and pinned, tearing him away from his beloved title. Austin quickly left the ring, passing over his normal celebration. He met backstage with Kurt Angle, his tag partner in the tag team championship match next.

Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin

:Team America is shown walking down the hallways of the backstage area. They are amidst a conversation.:

Austin: [catching his breath] Oh, man, that was pretty damn easy…now let’s go and open up a can of whoop-ass on Evolution tonight.

Angle: That was my plan exactly, Steve. Just think, in one night you’ll have one TWO championships in one night…and on a pay per view, of all places.

Austin: Hell yeah! Now, come on, I gotta go shower real quick and get a drink of something before our match.

Angle: Alright, let’s just cut in here real quick.

:Angle opens the door to the locker room closest to them, only to find James Storm and Trish Stratus making out.:

James: What…what the hell?!? Get out of here, man!

Austin: Umm…yeah, why don’t I just skip the shower for now, Kurt. Hehehe. Dumbass. You know your best friend’s girl is, like, the last person you want to sleep with, man. Look what happened with Edge back in WWE!

Angle: Haha, ahh, that’s a good one Steve. C’mon, let’s just go get a quick drink from one of the machines down the hall and get down to our match.

:Austin and Angle leave the locker room laughing as Trish and Storm start kissing again.:

:Tag Team Championship Match: Evolution’s Orton and Batista vs. Team America:

SUMMARY:

This was a fast-paced, high octane match with frequent tagging, good teamwork from both sides, and much high powered, high risk, highly painful maneuvers. But it seemed as if Batista and Randy Orton came into the match with too big of egos and not enough effort to win the match. Orton and Batista attempted to deliver both of their finishing maneuvers early into the match, but failed to, underestimating their opponents’ powers, taking Austin and Angle for old men past their primes. Eventually, Austin and Angle had so much of an advantage that Batista attacked the referee while he was not looking, and Orton came in using a chair, swinging at Angle, but it was ducked. Angle then kicked Orton in the gut and grabbed the chair and smashed Orton in the head with it while Austin ran in and low-blowed Batista. He then ran in front of him and Stunnered him while Angle disposed of the chair. Austin covered Batista as the ref was getting up for the three count.

Winner(s): Team America

:Ladder Grudge Match: Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H:

SUMMARY:

 This match was simply amazing. The best ladder match in a long time, Shawn Michaels and Triple H showed some of the best aerial assaults in a long time. Flying off of ladders, crashing through tables, cracking chairs over skulls; the entire match was intense from start to finish. It ended triumphantly as Triple H battled with HBK on the top of the ladder, frantically grabbed the belt, pulled it off, and then tackled HBK to the mat. Although HHH won the battle, neither of them won the war.

Winner: Triple H

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Although the match was intense, it was what came afterward that shocked the entire audience. At the final note, and what seemed like the end of the night, “Here Comes the Money” hit the P.A. Shane McMahon came down to the ring, complete with an XoW T-Shirt and Cap. He brought along with him Cactus Jack, Sandman, Rhyno, Raven, and the newly crowned Tag Team Champions, Kurt Angle and Stone Cold. They came out with an ecstatic response from the crowd…up until they demolished the bloodied bodies of Triple H and Shawn Michaels. They beat them until their bodies were motionless. Shane McMahon then proceeded to announce the declaration of War on HwC by XoW, quoting that the Invasion had begun. Stone Cold and Kurt Angle then Spray painted  XoW on both of the Tag Team titles and the International Belt, saying that they were taking those with them.
